At The Scale of Commitment, Casati Flock & Fibers presents RE-Flock, the regenerated flock: a circular solution that recovers and reactivates exhausted flock, ensuring the same quality and performance as virgin flock. Flock is like a battery—it depletes with use but can be regenerated and reused, reducing waste and the consumption of virgin raw materials. Our process offers two variations: fully regenerated flock, which retains its original color, and re-dyed regenerated flock, obtained from mixed flock and recolored. The installation showcases a comparison between virgin and regenerated flock on various surfaces, demonstrating that texture and aesthetic quality remain unchanged.
