OurCarbon

At the Scale of Commitment, Garzanti Specialties presents OurCarbon®— a carbon negative material innovation from an unlikely source: sewage sludge. Every year millions of tons of wastewater solids, known as biosolids, are landfilled resulting in tons of methane emissions. Bioforcetech diverts these biosolids from landfill, transforms them into clean, consistent OurCarbon, and then applies the new material to industry for better use. OurCarbon can be used as a pigment in polymers, textiles and inks across furniture, fashion, packaging and coating. It is also used as a carbon negative concrete additive, replacing aggregates and lowering the carbon footprint of concrete. OurCarbon is currently produced in the US with plans to expand into Europe.
